Lincoln County Rifle Club
300yd Match - Damariscotta, MaineMay 17, 2008
The day started with rain, fairly light through the first 3 matches. It stayed overcast the entire day with very mild breezes. Today was the calmest 300 in my short memory of 8 years. One didn't have to hold off much but if you know Damariscotta at 300 yards, you know it doesn't take much of a pick-up at the 200 yard mark to make a big difference on the paper at 300. And that was the challenge! If you doubled with the pick-up it was out of the 10. Greg Palman put the Htr gun away and came back to the dark side and shot VFS. He creedmoored Dick Parrino for the win. Dick made it close with 3x's in his last match. Good job both Greg and Dick. The rest of us are hoping Greg goes back to Htr class, real soon!
